With so many new restaurants popping up in Miami, Stef and I try to avoid re-visiting the same restaurant multiple times.  However, when faced with a dish so delicious that we can’t stop dreaming, talking, and drooling over it, we tend to succumb.  This week’s “Dish of the Week” is the chicken & waffles at Giorgio Rapicavoli’s Eating House.  After eating it a couple weeks ago, I haven’t been able to get my mind off the perfect combination of sweet, salty, crunchy, savory, candied, crispy, creamy, and bacon.  I eventually surrendered and went back to Eating House on Sunday solely for this dish.  Last time, Stef and I shared it and we both were visibly distraught about having to ration the small portion.  This time, I sat in silence and slowly (actually, not to slowly), savored each bite. Although Giorgio changes the menu daily, I’m happy to report that this dish has made the final cut as a menu staple.  As the old adage goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t take away my fried chicken.  Without further adieu, I present the ultimate food porn: Chicken & Waffles, fried chicken thighs, buttermilk waffles, house smoked maple, candied bacon & hot sauce ranch.
